You never need to look far for a bar or pizzeria, busy from early morning to evening and full of students. Carnival is celebrated all over Italy around February - March time. The Palio in Siena during summer is a famous bareback horse race between locals to win the Palio. The Colosseum, the Fontana di Trevi and the Basilica San Pietro are all must see places, though once you're a local these will just be part of your landscape.

The San Lorenzo neighbourhood is full of students and many of them have accommdoation in this area. The Trastevere area is the romantic area of Rome, you will enjoy many restaurants with typical food there. And the Testaccio is the popular area in Rome. Generally speaking, it is usually more expensive to buy a single ticket, so it is worth your while finding out about the cost of weekly or monthly tickets for transport in your town.
